"The esence of Yoga and Meditation is very simple; It is about your happiness"

Ohana (translation)

"Ohana" in Hawaiian culture means family and friends coming together to share and support each other in life.

 About Ohana Yoga

Ohana Yoga weaves together the spirit of polynesia and a hatha style of yoga. combining breath, postures, relaxation and meditation which all aim to quiet your mind and bring renewed energy to your entire being.

My connection to Hawaii and the spirit of Polynesia comes from a twenty year history of paddling outrigger canoes. Through my many travels to Hawaii racing outrigger canoes, I have had the opportunity to discover the magic of the Polynesian Islands and peoples.  In essence the spirit of the islands is "Aloha", meaning to be kind, nurturing and loving to yourself, to others and to the planet.

The creation of "Ohana Yoga" comes from blending this 'magic' and 'spirit' into my own unique style of teaching.  I will be offering Hawaiian Yoga retreats annually to share this special place with others.

About Yoga

Yoga practice is a journey; a journey of discovery about yourself and life.  Yoga can be a means to unravel life's mystery's.

Through a regular practice of yoga, you can begin to see more clearly what is important to you, to discover what is within your heart and to clarify your own life's purpose.

This tuning in (to ourselves) can come in a number of ways and it is different for everyone.  For some it's the physical postures that enable a more internal connection, for other's it is the stillness that comes from relaxation or meditation that enables a process of self enquiry to happen.  whatever 'your way'  - yoga can assist you in finding health and happiness ; from the inside - out.

By from yoga, I hope to assist people in broadening their perspective and finding a way to their true self. To take people to a place where they can grow, learn and develop.

I look forward to seeing you and sharing the spirit of "Ohana Yoga"!
