Gena Kenny (Founder)

Gena Kenny has taught yoga for more than a decade and has authored the top selling 'Gift of Yoga" book and dvd. Gena discovered yoga through an injury in her previous career as a firefighter. Yoga helped her to not only overcome her physical injury but also helped her to gain life skills to make major life changes and move forward on her true path. 

This journey of yoga has led Gena to develop a style of yoga which is more gentle and restorative.  Gena's classes will teach you skills in learning how to relax, how to slow down, to breath deeply and to find space in between thoughts.  This slow and more gentle style of yoga helps to calm your nervous system, relax your mind and rejuvenate your body.

This unique class style is open to all levels and is also helpful to those recovering from injury or stress.  Having completed many workshops and retreats with internationally renowned Donna Farhi, the principles of the class honour each persons own journey and physical differences.

Corporate yoga is also available, corporate clients have included; Geelong Football Club, L'oreal, Mattel, Treasury Department of Victoria, Tabcorp and Australian Human Resources.

Gena also offers yearly yoga retreats to Hawaii and local coastal locations. (see retreat section).

Hugh has been a devoted and dedicated student of Yoga for over 9 years. He is influenced by both the uplifting paths of Anusara Yoga and Power Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Hugh brings warmth and compassion to his teaching style with a heart-focussed blend of Power Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Dynamic Hatha Yoga and Deep Relaxation/Meditation. He encourages students to focus on self-awareness, healing, strength, inner peace and to access our highest good in order to radiate Divine love, joy & happiness from our hearts.

Jennifer Crescenzo

Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Jennifer found yoga in 2000 after suffering an injury. By 2004, she had a steady practice and decided to live in a Sivananda ashram and immerse herself fully in the study of yoga.   She emerged with the title of yoga teacher and the new yogic name of Purna, which can be translated as “fullness” or “completeness”.  But rather than feeling full, she felt as if she had only just begun! 

After her time at the ashram, she continued to study different styles of yoga, from the electric vinyasa flow of Shiva Rea to the quieter pulse of Yin Yoga taught by Paul and Suzee Grilley.  Eventually, she went to a Buddhist retreat center to dive deeper into Yin Yoga and become a certified Yin Yoga teacher.

As a teacher, Jennifer has offered yoga to people of many ages and abilities, from triathletes in training to women courageously battling cancer.  She believes that a dedicated yoga practice helps you cultivate greater strength, flexibility, and inner wisdom but also more joy!

Kent Cuthbert

Core Strength

Kent has a lifelong passion for the outdoors and an active lifestyle. From participating in sports from an early age right up to competing in 5 Ironman Triathlon events Kent has continued to find reasons to be outside. After spending fifteen years as a professional in the corporate world he followed his passion and currently owns and operates Kayak Melbourne a tour business in Australia, and assists Gena as partner in Ohana Yoga & Wellness. Kent has a wealth of fitness related knowledge and is a trained Pilates and core strength instructor, you will find his classes both challenging and inspiring.
